The blogs are buzzing with Oxford English Dictionary's announcement that there may be no further print editions of the dictionary.
According to the AP: "Nigel Portwood, chief executive of Oxford University Press, told the Sunday Times in an interview that he didn't think the newest edition will be printed. "The print dictionary market is just disappearing. It's falling away by tens of percent a year," he said.

When I was in college, that two-volume microscopically printed version of the OED was almost as much a status symbol as a poster of Nietzsche or a bong.
